Chain Saw Massacre

There we were.

My lover and I.

In our matching navy blue overalls, standing in our shed surrounded by piles of wood, some cut some not, and a small portable radio.

We listened as Liverpool and the ManUre lined up to face each other.

We looked at each other across the workbench.

They kicked off.

My lover pulled the trigger and revved the chainsaw.

Vrooooom!!

We proceeded to cut up about 30 lengths of timber, fencing and poles given to us by kind friends and family, who bemused by our strange lifestyle, nevertheless support us by saving any wood that comes their way.

Between cuts we listened as the teams battled.

Torres scores!

Another plank bites the dust.

There's just a few bits left to cut.

Nearly there.

Liverpool score again.

It's all over. The wood is in pieces.

We look around us at the devastation.

It's been a massacre.

More Than A Bistro

Tonight I went with my lover and his mother to this place for supper.

Always keen to debate life's important issues, during the course of the meal we were discussing whether the place should be described as a restaurant or a bistro.

I thought it could be described as a bistro, whereas my lover's mother was sure it was "more than a bistro".

My lover, in an effort to settle the matter once and for all, offered a football analogy.

"Think of Theo Walcott or Wayne Rooney. They are your bistro. Torres or Kaka. They are definitely more than a bistro"

So now we know.

I Would Love It If They Came Out - Love It!

OK OK.

So you want to know about my Ronaldo/Torres fantasy mentioned in yesterday's post.

Well, as we all know, Cristiano Ronaldo is a bit of a dude. Besides being a hugely talented footballer he is extremely good looking. A fact not only appreciated by girls.

Torres too is very beautiful.

Neither is my type to be honest, on the basis I like my men a bit more rugged and earthy, but I can see their attraction and would struggle to choose between them.

I am not usually prone to drifting off into the world of homoerotic fantasy. But for some reason last time I was watching Liverpool play, an image of Torres and Ronaldo making out came into my head.

I don't know whether they like girls or boys or both. There is a bit of me though would love to see one of them or some other really top, loved football star, come out. What a challenge that would be for the footballing world!

There is certainly not a history of accepting gay players in main stream football. How could that world turn their back on someone at the top of the game though?

I hope someone does have the courage one day. I think the time may well be right.
