Tears Before Bedtime

Several stories in the news today have made me think of this song.

I can see a few tears being shed one way or another during the coming days and weeks.

Mr Hollow Way is no doubt dusting off his Kleenex as we speak.

Then there is Special K, who has apparently been 'summoned' to explain himself to his Board Chair, Mr Ashley.

And you have to feel sorry for Manchester City fans as Sven prepares to go off to pastures new.

Mark Hughes is taking his ball home following Michael Carrick's successful planning application to build a house opposite his (isn't that taking inter-club rivalry just a little too far?)

And Mr Capello is by no means out of the woods as investigations into his business affairs.

But all these are people who make their living out of football.

There are others with tears on their pillow.

Spare a thought for us.

The future is bright, the future is Worley. Signed a three year deal, after being on loan. Who signed him though. Holloway or Mandaric?

Gotta love the muck-raking, bullshit-spreading British press who report pretty much what they want...

Ashley has already come out publicly in support of KK's statement. The "summons" is nothing more than a perfectly normal end-of-season natter which was arranged weeks ago. Of course, if you stick the mainstream press, you won't know this because they'd rather stir up a load of none-existent garbage.

areallaticfromthesouth: I was surprised to hear about the timing of the signing but maybe that is how these things work. Mandaric would of course say it was Hollow Way becuase he keeps out of footballing matters but................

mosher: Surely you are not suggesting that the British press are ever anything other than accurate and morally straight? Shocking. You may be right though. I ready somewhere yesterday that Leicester City have been relegated! What fibs they make up

Interesting blog - you've managed to experience the harsh reality of football support straight away!
As a sunderland fan, i went through the same in 1987 when we fell out of the top two divisions for the first time ever - the club cleared out all the rubbish, got a great new manager and won the 3rd division at a canter - filling grounds everywhere we went!
... You may be in for a cracking time next season. Keep the faith.
