It's A Disgrace

I texted Luton Andy today.

Remember him?

He is a friend of my lover and a Woking fan. He is also a major Hatter's fan (hence the name).

My text said:

"Just heard the news. 30 points! It's a disgrace. Hope life is better for you in other regards. Georgina. x"

The news I was referring to was this of course.

He hasn't text back yet. I think he may be crying.

Not that I would condone or minimise the things that led to the punishment. But you do have to wonder where it will all end. The club now appear to have a group of people really committed to making things work in a transparent way, yet again and again they are slammed for the misdemeanours of Board members and staff now long gone.

In other disgraceful news that disgraceful numpty Sepp Blatter has disgraced himself once again. With all the sensitivity of an elephant balancing on a daisy (yes I know the simile is not very good but I just made it up) he has likened the transfer system for multi-millionaire salaried players to slavery.

What is he on?

Disgraceful!

Must agree Blatter is a fool but the news on Luton must be good for Leicester as there will be some players going cheap.
Hark at me attempting to take the mickie. Swindon have already been talking to Sol Davies one of our ex-players. Used to be quite good but his temperment was poor. He had more red cards than Chairman Mao ever had.Decorum prevents me from expressing my true feelings for Blatter.

In the words of many England fans at the arrival of the umbrella. "You don't know what you're doing" springs to mind with old Sepp.

Hi Georgina - It's Luton Andy here!

I'm so angry with the football authorities over Luton's punishment. You're quite right- the misdemeanours were the results of the actions of previous boards of directors/crooks/idiots & have nothing to do with the proposed new owners, players or fans. What advantage have Luton gained from these misdemeanours (2 relegations in 2 years and minus 40 points) Meantime the incompetent former directors have lined their pockets with the asset stripping sales of good players. Luton have benefitted from nothing in the past 2 years only pain!

The thing that really upsets me is the fact that Division 2 is unlikely to have any competition at the bottom of the table next season. Promoted Aldershot & Exeter & recent newcomers Dagenham, Macclesfield etc (all well run I'm sure on very limited budgets) have little to fear next season in respect of relegation bearing in mind that Bournemouth & Rotherham are likely to start with minus points too.
Points deductions are not the way to deal with Board incompetency - league's must remain competitive.

Georgina keep up your excellent blog. Life's really tough at present - not only am I an LT fan but an estate agent too!

Hey Luton Andy

Thanks for dropping by. Hard to know what is worst at the moment - being a Luton fan or being an Estate Agent.

Keep smiling
